  Fred J. Bastie, CPA

  Fred graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor of business administration degree. He began his career with Deloitte, Haskins, & Sells (Deloitte & Touche), where he attained the position of tax manager. While at Deloitte, Haskins, & Sells, he was designated as an industry specialist in real estate taxation, partnership taxation, and estate and gift tax. He also worked with some of the largest Dallas-based companies and their key executives. After leaving Deloitte, Haskins, & Sells, Fred joined Martin, Trachta, Hunter & Company as Partner. Fred ventured out on his own in 1992 where his general business sense, industry experience and creativity provide clients with an unmatched level of high quality service. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

  Heather Smith, CPA and Principal

  Heather joined Fred J. Bastie & Associates at its inception in 1992. She earned her BBA from Texas A&M University in College Station, graduating magna cum laude in 1984. Heather began her public accounting career with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in 1984, later moving to Martin, Trachta & Hunter. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Heather has worked with Fred since she graduated from Texas A&M. She helped build the practice to what it is today with her knowledge, hard work and dedication.

  Kimberley L. Trant, CPA and Principal

  Kimberley joined Fred J. Bastie & Associates in 1997. Kim earned her BBA from Texas A&M University in College Station in 1995 and worked two years in the accounting industry before entering public accounting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Kim's client base spans a wide variety of industries and specialties. Since she joined Fred J. Bastie & Associates in 1997, she has become a very integral part of the firm and has proven to be a great asset to our team.

  Mary Z. Sonom, CPA, CISA

  Mary joined Fred J. Bastie & Associates in 2007. She earned both her BBA and MBA from Texas A&M University in College Station. Mary began her career in public accounting with BDO Seidman and later moved into industry expanding her expertise to both financial and information systems auditing. She has over 15 years of audit experience and her clients include a variety of industries and entities. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of CPAs and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
